THE FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPER OPPORTUNITY at Bear Cognition:  

 

In this role the candidate will serve to support the development efforts of Bear Cognition, working both directly with our internal application and external deliverables for our customers. The position relies heavily on a strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, the candidate should be able to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. In this role you will work in a cross-functional team to drive development, reporting to the technical team lead as well as other company executives. It is important that the candidate has strong communication skills and is comfortable with a moderate degree of autonomy. 

 

Front End Development

 

Skills/Qualifications 

• 3+ years of professional software experience building highly scalable web applications 

• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field 

• Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 

• 3+ years of professional experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js frontend  

• 3+ years of interfacing with REST API or GraphQL 

• 3+ years working with relational databases, such as MySQL or MSSQL, and non-relational databases like Redis and MongoDB 

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) 

• Knowledge of CSS frameworks and extensions (Bootstrap, Sass, etc.) 

• Experience integrating with APIs 

• Experience with version control systems (Git) 

• Experience with standard development practices, such as CI/CD, test automation and following coding standards 

• Knowledge of common website and enterprise security issues 

 

Back End Development 

 

Skills/Qualifications 

• Strong Understanding of serverless framework and/or Terraform 

• 3+ years of professional software experience building highly scalable web applications 

• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field 

• Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 

• 3+ years of working with REST API or GraphQL 

• 3+ years working with relational databases, such as MySQL or MSSQL, and non-relational databases like Redis and MongoDB 

• 1+ years of working with AWS core services including lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and CloudFormation 

• 1+ years of working with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) 

• Experience with server-side Node.js/Express or other equivalent back-end technologies 

• Skilled with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc.) databases 

• Experience with version control systems (Git) 

• Experience with standard development practices, such as CI/CD, test automation and following coding standards 

• Knowledge of common website and enterprise security issues
