IT Intern overview:
The IT Intern is responsible for assisting our Information Security Specialist in maintaining and reassessing security structures and procedures. They will work closely with our technical team to conduct inventory and asset management, IT support, troubleshooting, and firewall management. This position requires strong communication skills, ability to work cross-departmentally, and ability to be agile with projects/tasks.
*Please note that interns must be local and will work in the Charleston office
What we are looking for:

Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Management, IT Management or related field

Strong desire to work in the IT security field

Knowledge of common security practices
-
Basic knowledge of Cloud Security practices

Basic knowledge of Azure Active Directory and/or AWS
-
Creating and modifying access for user accounts
-
Maintaining the various computer systems owned or operated by the company

Knowledge of networking concepts
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Experience with Windows and Linus platforms

Experience optimizing SonicWALL firewalls

Computer troubleshooting
